• Over 1100 members successfully transition to Standard Life contract based GFRP arrangement

Standard Life, part of Phoenix group, has successfully completed the transition of the Caravan and Motorhome Club pension scheme with over 1100 members moving to a new contract-based arrangement, the Standard Life Group Flexible Retirement Plan.

The appointment of Standard Life follows a competitive RfP with Foster Denovo Secondsight advising and included an on-site visit to Standard Life’s Edinburgh head office as part of the rigorous selection process.

Gail Izat, Managing Director for Workplace at Standard Life said: "Both our organisations have undergone significant transformation in recent years with an emphasis on developing our capabilities, investing in our propositions and digital services. With a predominately remote workforce, communication is key to employee engagement and experience for the Caravan and Motorhome Club. We worked hard to demonstrate how our own values and culture are closely aligned to those of the Club, from a focus on sustainability through our investment strategy to the added care and support we provide to scheme members to promote greater levels of understanding and financial wellness. Having worked in partnership to deliver a seamless transition for members, we now look forward to developing a close relationship, helping them as they save for their financial futures."

Sarah Reynolds, Pensions Manager, at Caravan and Motorhome Club, said: "Introducing a new pension provider to employees comes with high stakes, with a successful transition setting the tone for things to come. The importance of getting it right for our organisation can’t be underestimated. The team at Standard Life lived up to their promises, exceeding our expectations with the implementation going extremely smoothly due in no small measure to the wrap around support they put in place. We could not have been more impressed with how they delivered the transition, including the bulk transfer of assets, reinforcing the decision we made when selecting Standard Life as our new pension provider."
